At the age of 15 I began my journey into automotive repair and restoration. My father was a "collector" of air-cooled VWs, and we had a garage and yard full of them! I didn't have many friends at that age. Teen angst, hostility, and seemingly an allergen to being around other people. One summer day during school vacation, I just started walking around the garage, looking at all the cars, engines shoved here and there. Something clicked. I started figuring out how all the parts went together, cleaning them as I went along. My father noticed this, and he bought me a book called "How to keep your Volkswagen alive". At that point it took off in me. I zeroed in on a disheveled 1967 Beetle,(probably because the bumpers were classic and cool looking), and I slapped a 1600cc dual port in it. 

Over the years one thing led to another. I got heavily into BMWs, MB, Porsche, constantly honing my skills and habitually learning every single thing I could about any given car I had in my hands. I worked exclusively on 928's for many years, eventually getting into the more modern cars. Always head first, a very good friend of mine has a 2005 CTT, and he let me get my hands on it. This car would become what is now known as build "001". A 900HP monstrosity, that we still aren't finished modding into absurdity. Because my friend is a bad influence, I got my hands on one of my own, a 2006 CTT known as build "002". The rest is history. A constant flow of " we can build this better", "we can make this faster", " we can do this cheaper with the same or even better results". And that is a mission we strive for and plow headlong into to this very day.
